About Dr Rankin
Dr Jerry Rankin is licensed to practice acupuncture in Indiana and Florida. He is nationally accredited by the NCCAOM accreditation body for acupuncture, and has the title of Diplomat of Acupuncture. He is certified in injection therapy. Dr Jerry graduated Summa Cum Laude and with Honors from Purdue University with a bachelor's degree in Psychology. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in Health Sciences and Summa Cum Laude with a Master's degree in Oriental Medicine. His professional titles in Florida are Doctor of Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture Physician.
Dr Rankin received Purdue's first undergraduate research grant. The research project entitled "Canonical Perspectives of Unknown Objects" investigated how the brain makes assumptions about what it sees and ignores actual details it sees. He was also nominated for a Rhodes Scholarship by the Honors department at Purdue.
Dr Rankin has written over 30 articles on health related topics and is the author of the alternative medicine patient's guide, East Meets West: A Collision of Medicines due out in February, 2011.
Dr Rankin has done research on the health benefits of colloidal silver, and has published a booklet on its use. He also holds formulas on various formulations utilizating colloidal silver and essential oils. Dr Rankin is currently researching the viability of combining energy medicine and oriental medicine in treating serious illness.
